However, when traveling abroad, it is recommended that you purchase traveler’s insurance, wearing impressive jewelry is not advisable, and always be aware of your surroundings.

You should include a hat, comfortable shoes, binoculars, swimsuit, insect repellant, and of course, sunscreen. Backpacks and non-plastic water bottles are also handy for hiking tours. We recommend that you also bring a water-resistant jacket if visiting during the rainy season (May-November), or a sweater/light coat if you’re visiting higher elevated regions such as Matagalpa.

You should know the exchange rate regarding the local currency, the Cordoba, even though most businesses accept U.S. Dollars and major credit cards.
